RSC Hosts Annual Underground Railroad Conference Feb. 26-28

Underground Railroad forum at Russell Sage
TROY — The annual Underground Railroad History Project of the Capital Region (URHPCR) will be held at Russell Sage College Feb. 26-28.
This year’s conference, titled Gender, Race and Ethnicity in Abolitionism on the Underground Railroad and the Struggle Since, is a collaboration between URHPCR, Russell Sage College, and the Rensselaer County Historical Society.
The conference will attract hundreds of teachers, students, scholars and the general public to presentations, talks, art, and music exploring the history and significance of the Underground Railroad. New to the conference is an accredited daylong teachers workshop on Feb. 26.
