Sage’s SAAC committee is holding a food drive to help feed less fortunate families this holiday season.

SAAC stands for Student Athlete Advisory Committee and is made up from athletes from all of the Sage teams. The purpose of SAAC is to create a liaison between the athletes and Sage faculty/community. Members of SAAC also discuss any concerns athletes have regarding anything from classes to dining times. In addition, SAAC tries to give back to the community; in addition to this year’s food drive, SAAC members will be mailing holiday cards to recovering soldiers at the Walter Reed Military Hospital.

In hopes of helping out those less fortunate, SAAC members are asking all fans who attend Saturday’s game to bring a nonperishable food item to be donated to the food pantry. Everyone who donates will be entered into a raffle to win a Sage Gift Pack filled with items from Sage Athletics as well as the Sage bookstores.

The game will be played at Kahl Campus Center in Albany at 1pm.
