Viva la Vargas: Dr. Boisvert’s Research in France

On Wednesday, October 28th, Dr. Boisvert will show slides of her sabbatical trip to France at 7:30 p.m. in French House.

Dr. Jayne Boisvert spent the spring semester of 2009 on sabbatical in the South of France. She and her husband arrived in the small village of Bédoin, at the foot of Mont Ventoux, on January 14th. Their activities focused mainly on research—she on the detective works of Fred Vargas; he on Albert Camus. During her five-month stay in Provence, Dr. Boisvert and her husband traveled throughout the region and visited other major cities such as Lyon, Montpellier, and Paris.

She also produced a blog which can be found at madameboisvert.blogspot.com.
