Sage Is Thinking Pink
.
For 25 years, the nation has recognized October as Breast Cancer Awareness month; Sage Athletics is doing its part to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer.
“We want to do our part to show he community we care about those affected by this disease, said sophomore softball player Kristen Knights. By having designated ‘pink’ games and special donation collections, our fans can see how we [Sage Athletics] gives back to the community that supports us so much.”
In the next two weeks, Sage will be hosting various “Pink” games, where they’ll wear special uniforms and collect donations to garner support in the fight against breast cancer.
Upcoming Pink Events:
Wednesday, 10/21 @ 7pm, Sage Volleyball will host the Crank for the Cure against Union College at the Neff Center. The Gators are asking all fans to wear pink and make a donation of $5 or more to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Saturday, 10/31 @ 1pm, Sage Soccer will be Kickin’ for the Cure against Maritime College at Siena. The Gators will be holding a 50/50 raffle to raise funds in the fight against Breast Cancer.
Don’t forget, you can always make a donation to fight against cancer on Sage’s Relay for Life page!
Thank you in advance for helping Sage in the fight against cancer!
